Otto was amazed by the story of Christopher Columbus. He learned that Columbus was a brave and determined explorer who had changed the course of history.
Otto Celebrates Columbus Day
Otto decided to celebrate Columbus Day by dressing up as Columbus and pretending to discover America. He put on a hat and a cape, and he carried a flag and a map.
Otto went outside and pretended to sail across the ocean. He looked for new land, and he eventually discovered America.
Otto was so happy to have discovered America! He planted a flag and claimed the land for Spain.
Otto's friends were amazed by his discovery. They all congratulated him and celebrated Columbus Day with him.
Otto's Reflection on Columbus Day
After celebrating Columbus Day, Otto took some time to reflect on what he had learned. He realized that Christopher Columbus was a complex figure.
Columbus was a great explorer who discovered America, but he was also responsible for the colonization of the Americas and the displacement of Native Americans.
Otto believes that it is important to learn about both the positive and negative aspects of Columbus's legacy. He believes that we should celebrate Columbus Day as a reminder of the importance of exploration and discovery, but we should also remember the impact that Columbus had on Native Americans.
Otto hopes that by learning about Columbus Day, people will be inspired to explore the world and learn about different cultures. He also hopes that people will be mindful of the impact that their actions have on others.
